Being Widowed in January 2021 pushed me back towards this, my unrealised lifelong Dream. 

~ I've been developing Exercise & Training Plans for Dogs since I was 11yo. My childhood Dog was the same age as me, she was born Deaf & she was overweight in her Senior years. I decided to start teaching her the tricks on the Schmacko's packets & walking her to the end of the street each day. Then around the corner the next week, until after a month we were lapping the block together after school & we had learned several tricks using only Hand Signals! 

I've spent all these years fascinated by observing Dogs breeds/behaviours & knowing I could teach without talking; since 11!

I've curated DOZENS of Journeys since establishing my Community Outreach Program; all unique.

I've studied online courses from Dog Trainers all around the world; Victoria Stillwell, Jerri Scherff & Denise Fenzi are positive international Behavioural Trainers that I recommend whole heartedly!

I've been a  Volunteer at RSPCA in the Adoption Centre & Obedience Classes in recent years but 1st Volunteered at Y.A.P.S in Cairns when I was in Primary School with my dog-loving Best Friends.

During High School I did Work Experience at a Vet & applied to be a Vet Tech after Graduating; I got accepted but decided surgery wasn't my thing & applied for Animal Inspection & Welfare instead. I got accepted again but had to defer the course because I couldn't afford to be a student!!

I currently work with a Dog Boarding/Training Facility who have a Guiness World Record under their belt & have been overseas on numerous occasions to be personally trained by renowned International Trainers. I thrive on surrounding myself with new information & experiences that I can learn from; working with the wide variety of Dogs there provides epic learning experiences!

In learning so many techniques, I've had a lot of wins & I've also made the mistakes (just like you will), we call those teaching moments xx You don't have to navigate them alone!

I'm currently studying a Cert3 in Rural Operations (Homestead plans) & aim to complete a Cert4 in Companion Animal Services next; the highest recognised Dog Behaviour achievement in Australia amidst an unregulated industry.

I strive to always be learning how to create a cohesive life with Dogs!

We are in the Information Age, an Era of Self-Education. 

There will always be a way to progress, the learning never stops!

Although Terriers are my favourite genre of Dog, my approach is a universal one that highlights the differences between dogs & leans into their characteristics &/or personality traits. 

The quirkier the better ;)

Terrier & Bully Breeds/Mixes are my favourite because they are sensitive, commonly misunderstood, surrendered to shelters & take the longest to find homes; this is most often due to a lack of breed knowledge or general #CanineSensibility with regards to their needs & behaviours. 

I'm aiming to change that!
